The Taman Pertama MRT station is an elevated MRT station located along the Cheras Highway, just right next to where it branches to Loke Yew Highway and Jalan Cheras.

It was opened on 17 July 2017 under Phase Two operations of the MRT Kajang Line.



The Taman Pertama MRT station is on the MRT Kajang Line and was opened on 17 July 2017 under Phase Two operations of the line.
This is the first elevated station (towards Kajang) after exiting the underground section at Maluri.
The station is located at strategic location as it is just 2km to Velocity Mall, 2.7km to HUKM, 2.8km to MyTown / IKEA, 3km to Tesco Extra, 5km to Bukit Bintang and 6km to KLCC.
It has many amenities nearby, e.g. schools, metro transport stations and universities. Some schools nearby the station are SK Seri Cheras, SK Taman Sri Muda 2, SM Sains Alam Shah, SMK Cheras, SRA Al Ridhwan, and SRA An Nur.

The station is designed with the platform level on the topmost floor, consisting of two sheltered side platforms along a double tracked line and a single concourse housing ticketing facilities between the ground level and the platform level.
All levels are linked by lifts, stairways and escalators.
Entrances and Exit
The Taman Pertama MRT station has two entrances, where Entrance A leads to Taman Pertama and Entrance B leads to Velodrom Kuala Lumpur.

There is an overhead bridge which is above Jalan Cheras while walking to Entrance B.

MRT stations of MRT Kajang Line
The MRT Kajang Line is the first line of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project (KVMRT) that began full operations in July 2017.

The MRT Kajang Line spans a total length of 51km and it runs underground for a distance of 9.5km beneath the centre of Kuala Lumpur while the rest of the alignment is elevated. The line has 30 stations of which 7 are underground station and 1 is provisional station (Bukit Kiara).
