Bukit Bintang MRT station, or otherwise due to sponsorship reasons, PAVILION Kuala Lumpur – Bukit Bintang MRT station is an underground MRT station located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, a shopping hub in the Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle commercial district.
The Bukit Bintang MRT station is one of the stations being built as part of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) project on the MRT Kajang Line.

It was opened on 17 July 2017 under Phase Two operations of the MRT Kajang Line.
Located underneath Jalan Bukit Bintang, this MRT station’s entrances are located along the iconic intersection of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail.
The station has 5 walkways and entrances that is connected to iconic buildings and malls in the Bukit Bintang locality, including Pavilion KL, Starhill Gallery and Fahrenheit 88 shopping malls.
The main theme of the MRT station is Dynamic Pulse of Colour.
Dynamic Theme, chosen to represent the dynamic and exciting elements of the country’s top central business district, is reflected with different tones of red on the walls in the interior of the Bukit Bintang MRT station that suggest movements.
The layout for the Bukit Bintang MRT station has its own unique features that are not found in other stations in the Klang Valley.

It has up to 5 entrances around the crossroads of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail, allowing commuters access to several malls in the vicinity.
The station, being located in an area with limited space, required it to be built underground at about 28m deep. This was to avoid demolishing buildings along the Jalan Bukit Bintang road to make way for construction.
The station contains the longest escalator for all 31 stations along the MRT Kajang Line route at 20 metres.
Bukit Bintang MRT station is also unique in a sense that it is one of only two stations on the line with split platforms, which means the platforms are stacked one on the other; one for Kwasa Damansara-bound trains and one for Kajang-bound trains.

The Bukit Bintang MRT station has 5 entrances around the crossroads of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail, allowing commuters access to iconic buildings and malls in the Bukit Bintang locality, including Pavilion KL, Starhill Gallery and Fahrenheit 88 shopping malls.
The entrance A is located at Changkat Bukit Bintang and it accommodates access to KFC, shoplots, and Jalan Alor.
The Entrance C is located at Jalan Bukit Bintang. It accommodates access to Bukit Bintang monorail station Northwest entrance, Bukit Bintang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza, Yayasan Selangor, and pedestrian crossing.
The entrance D is located at Jalan Bukit Bintang. It accommodates access to Bukit Bintang monorail station Northeast entrance, Lot 10 shopping mall, Fahrenheit 88, Starhill Gallery, and Pavilion KL.
The entrance E is located at Jalan Bukit Bintang and it accommodates access to Wolo Bukit Bintang hotel, and shoplots.
The entrance F is located at Jalan Sultan Ismail and it accommodates access to McDonald’s, shoplots, and Arab Street.

Connection to Bukit Bintang Monorail Station
The Bukit Bintang MRT station is within short walking distance to the Bukit Bintang Monorail station located right beside the station.
Due to the lack of space, the linkway is currently not a paid area-to-paid area transfer, although it might be proposed and constructed in the future.
Those transferring from the MRT station to the monorail station will have to walk along the Yayasan Selangor building or Lot 10 shopping mall to get to the MRT station from the Monorail station and vice versa.
Although both stations are only a stone’s throw away from each other, the walkway to the monorail station is uncovered.

MRT stations of MRT Kajang Line
The MRT Kajang Line is the first line of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project (KVMRT) that began full operations in July 2017.
The MRT Kajang Line spans a total length of 51km and it runs underground for a distance of 9.5km beneath the centre of Kuala Lumpur while the rest of the alignment is elevated. The line has 30 stations of which 7 are underground station and 1 is provisional station (Bukit Kiara).
