The Departure Hall is located at Level 3 of Main Terminal Building at the klia2 terminal. This big Departure Hall accommodates most importantly the check-in and luggage drop counters, entrance to the immigration counters, customs counters, and security check counters for Domestic or International Departures.
Also, you can find various food & beverage shops, waiting area, public concourse, and giant flight display monitor at the Departure Hall.
From 15 March, 2018, the travellers departing from klia2 will start using the newly-installed Self-Bag Drop (SBD) facilities.
Information Counters
Information counters are located throughout the klia2 terminal.
These counters are located at Arrival Hall, Departure Hall and Satellite Building at the Main Terminal Building. And you can find them at the Gateway@klia2 mall too.

Information assistants are at the counter 24-hours to assist with visitor inquiries. Concierge Counter is available at every floor at the Gateway@klia2 mall.
Lost & Found Facilities
Airlines’ Baggage Tracing office is available near the Baggage Reclaim area for both International and Domestic arrivals.
There is a dedicated Lost and Found Centre at the Departure Hall, you can check with the officer at the counter for any lost and found items.

Driving to klia2 airport
If you are driving to klia2, after passing the KLIA toll plaza, head towards the direction to KLIA.
There is a split road on the KLIA Expressway that will lead you straight to klia2.

Parking at klia2
The multi-storey car park is adjacent to Gateway@klia2 mall.
There are 6,490 covered parking bays with 5,690 car bays and 800 motorcycle bays.
52 disabled-driver parking bays have been reserved at every car park level at both Block A and B.
Valet parking facility is available at Departures drop-off area.
Rail Train Services
The Express Rail Link (ERL) train services, KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit, are available at the Transportation hub.
You can get on the inter-terminal train transfer to KLIA for just RM2 per trip with just a 3 minutes train ride.
Car Rental Services
Car rental companies such as Kasina, Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and Mayflower are available at the Transportation Hub.
Metered & Coupon Taxi Services
Both Coupon taxis and Metered taxis are available at the Transportation hub of the Gateway@klia2 mall.

Buses & Shuttle Services
The Bus services are available at Transportation Hub of the Gateway@klia2 mall.
You can find Skybus to go KL Sentral, the Star Shuttle to go Pudu Sentral, the Aerobus to go Genting Highlands, the Airport Liner, the Jetbus to go Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), the YoYo Bus to go Ipoh, and the Transnasional bus to go Melaka / Malacca, and others.
Lounges & Seating Area
There are 2 Plaza Premium Lounges located at the klia2 terminal. The first one is located at Level 2M of the Gateway@klia2 mall and another one is located near Gate L8, Pier L.
In addition to the Plaza Premium Lounges, there are plenty of seating areas throughout the klia2:
- Internet lounges and Smoking Rooms are located at boarding piers (PJKL), one lounge in each pier.
- VIP & VVIP Lounges are located at Level 3 of Main Terminal Building.
- Airlines lounges are located at Satellite building Levels 3 and 2.
- Commercially Important Person (CIP) lounge is located at Satellite building and business centre services are available at CIP lounge.
Movie and Sports Lounges are located at Level 2 of Satellite building.
Hotels at klia2
If you need a night-stay to catch a morning flight, you can easily find hotel room located inside the klia2 terminal or just short walking distance to the terminal.
The Tune Hotel klia2 is a popular choice as it is just few minutes walk away from the klia2’s Departure Hall.
The Sama-Sama Express Hotel klia2 is an airside transit hotel on level 3 of Satellite building. And the Plaza Premium Lounges are available at both the Gateway@klia2 mall and the Pier L.
you can grab a few hours of shut-eye on a bed at CapsuleTransit at klia2 available at Transportation Hub of the Gateway@klia2 mall.
A new hotel, Aerotel Kuala Lumpur Hotel, is recently opened at level 2 of the Gateway@klia2 mall.
If you prefer a 5-star hotel experience, there is Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA adjacent to KLIA which can be reached via the inter-terminal train transfer.
Shower facilities can be found at Sama-Sama Express Hotel, CapsuleTransit at klia2, and Plaza Premium Lounge for a small fee.

Dining & Shopping
There are lots of retail and food and beverage outlets throughout the terminal. Just the Gateway@klia2 mall will have more than 200 retail and food and beverage outlets for your dining and shopping pleasure.
A wide range of duty-free buys like liquor, cigarettes and perfume to books and magazines, designer brands, toys and much more.
Storage / Locker Services
The Left Luggage / Baggage Storage Store is available after you exit from Domestic Arrival gate and it is also available at Level 2 of Gateway@klia2 mall.
The CapsuleTransit at klia2 also provides similar services for your convenience.
Wrapping / Strapping Services
The Baggage Wrapping and strapping service is available at the Departure Hall to ensure your baggage will stay safe from the wear and tear of travel.
A disposable strap can be applied around your baggage, keeping it secure.
Baby Room / Shower Facilities / Toilet Facilities
Baby room is located throughout the klia2 terminal next to toilet facilities for diaper changing and nursing.
The Baby room is fully equipped with hand wash, water dispenser, toilet paper dispenser and diaper changing station. It is available on every floor at the Gateway@klia2 mall.
Shower facilities are available for free at various toilets in the terminal.
Special emphasis was placed on the needs of physically-challenged visitors so every part of the terminal, including the designated toilets, is easily accessible with wheelchair.
Medical Services
The clinic is available next to the exit of International Arrival area.
It operates 24-hours with Type A ambulance on stand-by. The service is provided by Menara Medical Services. You can contact the clinic at +603 8778 5909.
Prayer Rooms
There are 15 surau rooms throughout the klia2 terminal for public usage.
At the Gateway@klia2 mall, the Prayer room is located at Level 1 opposite CapsuleTransit at klia2 and Level 2 behind Original Classic shop.
Facilities for Senior / Physically-challenged
A total of 15 Buggies are in full service and more are introduced to add to provide assistance to the seniors and physically-challenged passengers.
Wheelchairs and baby strollers can be loaned at the information counters free of charge. Additional walkalators are installed to shorten the walking distance so that passengers can have more convenient travelling experience.
To provide assistance to the seniors and physically-challenged passengers, braille are in place at the elevators and designated toilets, ramps and people-movers or travelators are available throughout the terminal.
Also tact tiles lead from drop-off kerbside at Gateway@klia2 all the way to Departure Hall and from Arrival Hall to Gateway@klia2 building.
GST Refund Verification Counter
The GST Refund Verification counter is available at the Departure Hall for any GST refund inquiries and procedures.
Security Pass Counter
The Security Pass counter is available at the Departure Hall for any security pass inquiries and applications.
Immigrations
VISA – Passengers are advised to check with the Malaysian Consulate or representative office nearest to you for the Visa requirements before planning a trip to Malaysia.
Autogates at Arrival and Departure – Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents with Malaysian passport may proceed to the autogates with Electronic Passport Reader for speedier clearance.

IATA code
The IATA Terminal Code for klia2 is KUL 2 which stands for KUL Terminal 2.
The IATA Code for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is KUL M which stands for KUL Main Terminal.
Duty-free Allowance
Visitors staying for a minimum of 72 hours are permitted personal duty-free allowance of:
1) Tobacco not more than 225 grams (equal to 200 sticks of cigarettes)
2) Alcohol not more than 1 litre per passenger

Kid Zone
You can keep the kids entertained at the Kids Zone while waiting for a flight.
The Kid Zone area is located at Satellite Level 2.

There are currently 14 Customs checkpoints available at the terminal; 7 located at Arrival and 7 at Departure.
