
AirAsia Group operates scheduled domestic and international flights to more than 165 destinations spanning 25 countries. On 9 May 2014, it moved its operations from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).
The Airline code AK is currently designated for AirAsia’s domestic flights operating within the whole of Malaysia.

Passengers are now allowed two pieces of cabin baggage with a combined weight not exceeding 7kg.



For the trolley bag, the size “must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm including the handles, wheels and side pockets” or does not exceed the maximum linear measurement of 115 cm, and must be able to fit in the overhead storage compartment in the aircraft cabin, AirAsia said.


The other bag can be a laptop bag or a handbag or backpack or any other small bag which must not exceed the measurements of 40cm x 30cm x 10cm or the maximum linear of 80 cm, with this item required to fit under the seat in front of the passenger.
AirAsia RedQ at klia2
The new AirAsia office christened RedQ, short for RedQuarters began its full operations in November 2016.

The 18,000sqm RedQ office is home to over 2,000 of AirAsia’s staff and it is built with an estimated cost of RM140 million.
The new corporate office reflected the airline group’s determination in becoming the number one airline in Malaysia and across the region, while incorporating elements showcasing its professional, fun and friendly attitude.
